Answers:-
(a) Vakils were the first Bombay families who build holiday cottages on the Thul Beach.
(b) The house was more suited to De Silvas beacuse they were young and energetic and seemed heartily to enjoy the life on beach.
(c) There were three children having a dog whose name was Pinto.
(d) Due to barking of Pinto and the noise tlof the car, the herons, egrets, kingfishers and moorhens all were flapping into the dense greenery of the pandamus.
(e) Hari's opinion was that they haven't come gere for good as a person having a house in Bombay will not like to like there.
(ii) In not more than 50 words describe how the arrival of the De Silvas changed life for the family in the little hut.
Probable answer: De Silva's came from Bombay to spend an occasional holiday in the white bungalow, they bought from the Vakils. Whenever they came the life for the family in the hut changed. There was a busy, noisy situation and all kinds of excitement and expectations. There was hustle bustle all around.
